So I quit my biggest addiction

This addiction is called “Perfectionism”

I tried to do everything perfectly. But it would only paralyze me with the fear of making a mistake. After you meet the standard, it is moved further. Perfect is meeting someone else’s standards and criteria.

You meet the world’s standard and hear “ok”, “fine”, and “good”. Perfectionism chains you to unrealistic standards. You let go of your freedom by subjecting yourself to them. Instead I urge you to live free and authentic to yourself.

Perfectionism is always accompanied by fear. Try being perfect and you are worried of critics. Try being someone you are not and you live like a clown. Our outer self is just a persona. Be who you want to be. Merge who you want to be and who you truly are. Your authentic self and self expression will become one.

After letting go of “perfect, I create freely now. I express and do what is on my mind. I am present and alive. Perfectionism makes you wait, meanwhile life passes by.
